Drone-Based Inspections

Drones are no longer just a “nice-to-have” in the construction industry – they’ve become an essential tool for tradespeople. Especially when it comes to roof inspections, drones are the ideal solution, offering a fast and accurate view of the roof’s condition – no ladders required.

Today, several software providers can create 3D models from drone images.

Airteam takes it one step further: with our latest software update, we now combine precise 3D models with high-resolution drone images.

What's new?

In the left-hand navigation bar, you’ll now see a new icon: Image Navigation.

With our new Image Navigation feature, you can click on any point in the 3D model that you’d like to examine more closely.

Our software will then identify which images show that selected roof area most clearly.

In the image gallery on the right, all photos with a similar viewpoint will be displayed. The area you want to inspect is highlighted in each image with a red circle.

You can then view the selected photo in full screen and zoom in up to 400×. These images can also be shared with customers and partners.

One Small Note

Due to missing metadata, this update may not work with projects created before mid-May 2025.

In those cases, we recommend starting a new project.
