A great deal has happened in the photovoltaic sector in the last year. Prices for PV modules, inverters and storage systems have fallen enormously in recent years. The software for planning and operating systems is also becoming more and more professional.
Driven by these developments, the number of employees has increased by 25% in the last three years to over 50,000 employees in around 15,000 solar energy companies*.

Conclusion
At the end of 2021, 2.2 million photovoltaic systems had already been installed in Germany, generating over 59 GWp of power. 235,600 new plants were added in 2021.
In order for Germany to achieve the 2030 climate targets of 80% renewables, a quadrupling of photovoltaic expansion is necessary. This can only be achieved in close cooperation between installation companies, hardware and software providers and the federal government.
With over 140,000 m2 of measured photovoltaic roof areas in 2021, we at Airteam made a small contribution to planning faster, cheaper and safer PV systems in Germany. With the help of our customers and partners, we want to triple this result in 2022, in line with the goals of the Federal Government.
